On 22nd August 2025, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated multiple development projects worth ₹12,000 crore at Gaya in Bihar. At the occasion, the Hon’ble Prime Minister also participated in the grih pravesh ceremony of 4,260 beneficiaries under PMAY-Urban and handed over the symbolic house keys to a few beneficiaries.
PMAY-U has strengthened the lives of crores of people in urban India by providing pucca houses with basic amenities. The scheme has ensured safety, security and dignity for the poor.
