On the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day on 24th April 2025, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi participated in the grih pravesh of 54,000 houses constructed under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U). The mega event was held in Jhanjharpur of Madhubani district in Bihar.
At the event, Hon’ble Prime Minister also released ₹1,001 crore as first instalment for over 1 lakh new beneficiaries of Bihar under PMAY-Urban 2.0, thus empowering these families to begin construction of their dream homes with dignity and stability.
The event marked a significant step towards empowering lakhs of families with a better and dignified quality of life.
