"Shri Kuldip Narayan, Joint Secretary & Mission Director (JS&MD), Housing for All represented the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) at World Urban Forum (WUF) 2026 held in Baku from 17–22 May 2026, on the theme “Housing the World: Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities”. The India Pavilion - “India’s Urban Transformation: Housing a Billion Dreams” - showcased India’s progress in improving urban living through large-scale policy interventions and innovative implementation models and schemes, including PMAY-Urban. The pavilion was inaugurated by India Ambassador to Azerbaijan Shri Abhay Kumar. WUF brought together global leaders, policymakers, urban practitioners and development experts to deliberate on the future of cities and housing. The pavilion served as a platform for dialogue, collaboration and exchange of best practices among stakeholders across the world."
